From mid-March, something had been off — for months. The body's voice went quiet. Her vision narrowed. She had almost found her way through, but not quite.
"It didn't feel like my own effort — more like being moved. Weightless. Not forced, but as if the body was finally doing what it wanted to do. Thought dissolved. At some point, I wasn't conscious of anything."
She came back to her body slowly, slowly. A feeling of being held in something safe. By leaving thought behind and returning to the body, something like trust in herself quietly increased.
